Fast Forward

Today, 10 months later, there are nearly 500 members of A Casual Affair Indy and I predict there will be close to 1000 members in less time than it took to attract those 500. Is it a business? No! Is it work? Yes, a ton! Is it worth it? Indeed! Why do I do it? Because the effort is much appreciated and there is a huge joy in it for me. What do I want to do with this captive audience? Well, stay close and you will find out. SK

Genesis

Last February, A Casual Affair Indy started simply enough: Why not have a wine tasting in my home for 12 single men and women and why not have each of these friends invite another single friend whom none of us knew? 24 people sipping lovely wine in a gracious environment and getting to know one another was a nice alternative to going to a bar. Within a week my guest list grew to 56, then 108 and then 186. This lovely city was telling me that sophisticated men and women over 40 want to meet like-minded individuals the old fashioned way: face to face. Something beautiful was beginning to happen.
