So sorry I've been unable to post - busy busy busy here at ACA Indy! Our OUTSTANDING (as in our BEST party to date) was held again in the Penthouse at 14 West here in Indy in April. A jazz duo was hired this time ('Round Midnight) - what a great way to get to know someone - dancing! (Gals, the men have been asking for this for 1 year...just so you know...they want to get their hands on you!) It was cold that night in Indy but ever so warm with the wine, food and friends gathered there - all single and upscale! Tom Casalini the renown portrait artist here in Indiana with an national reputation donated the gift of a portrait sitting to one of our lovely single women! We will get the opportunity to see this portrait at an upcoming event later in the year. We gathered in the bar downstairs afterwards for another 2 hours. Thank you 14 West for creating the "Casual Cosmos"! How fabulous of you! Thank you everyone for all your lovely comments - emails, facebook messages, snail mail, etc...I really appreciate the fact that YOU appreciate my effort. A glass of the Prisoner was in order when I got home! Yum...

ACA Indy in the February issue of Indianapolis Monthly

Our Latin evening on the 28th of January was quite amusing. 70 of you gathered together and enjoyed Tequila, wine, food, gifts and some of us even learned how to Salsa. Thank you so much everyone for attending on such a cold, dark evening! For a sampling of our photos from that night please go to the fan page of A Casual Affair Indy on Facebook!

I am planning many fun things for 2010 which will include the following: fashion, 500 Mile Race, Absinthe, grilling on a Green Egg, Art and Champagne, fine wine, Scotch, movies and more.

Stay tuned and if you are single and living in or close to Indianapolis, please contact me concerning membership. Susie

Good Morning. Angels of East Africa is the humanitarian organization to which I will be donating a portion of the proceeds from all A Casual Affair Indy events in 2010. So, along with all the fun we singles will have meeting one another in lovely and/or exciting and new environments we will also be helping children caught in the crossfire of rebel atrocities in Sudan. For more information please visit angelsofeastafrica.org. Thank you. Susie

Good Morning! As we move toward a brand new year I want to assure you that I will continue in 2010 to provide hope for upscale singles with the sophisticated party model I developed this year and offered to over 500 of you. I am also planning new, tailored, upscale events during which ACA Indy members can enjoy meeting new single friends for purposes of dating but also to learn, to explore and to enjoy wonderful evenings out with single friends old and new. Do you remember when your mother asked you to go to the prom with the one who asked you because you might meet the one you are really looking for when you get there? It's the same with A Casual Affair Indy. Don't be too concerned if you don't meet "the one" at our lovely events right away as these things take time. Keep in mind that you are promoting yourself in the right upscale group when you attend and meeting new friends who might happen to know that perfect person for you who is NOT at the party that particular night. The important thing is to continue to participate because none of us knows what the Universe has in store for us. Saying "yes" this year is my New Year's resolution. Perhaps it could be yours as well. Let's see how saying "yes" to everything will improve our outlook on life, how it will draw to us new opportunities and how it will attract a new "friend". SK

Fast Forward

Today, 10 months later, there are nearly 500 members of A Casual Affair Indy and I predict there will be close to 1000 members in less time than it took to attract those 500. Is it a business? No! Is it work? Yes, a ton! Is it worth it? Indeed! Why do I do it? Because the effort is much appreciated and there is a huge joy in it for me. What do I want to do with this captive audience? Well, stay close and you will find out. SK
